TVALPP216X Ambient Light Sensors and Proximity Sensors iCs

The TVALPP216X integrates both an ambient light and proximity sensor, complete with a built-in IR LED and an I2C interface. This chip enables ambient light detection for controlling backlight/display brightness and provides infrared sensing for proximity evaluation, complete with interrupt functionality. The spectral response of the TVALPP216X is specifically optimized for infrared wavelengths around 940nm. It includes programmable current settings for driving the IR LED and utilizes noise-cancellation technology to effectively suppress unwanted environmental IR interference. With excellent temperature compensation and strong on-chip refresh rate settings, it operates without requiring external components. Additionally, it features software-based shutdown mode for power-saving applications, and its operating voltage range spans from 1.7V to 1.98V.
